Anyone fancy helping out with testing of V3.4.0 which is a pure move to sqlite file storage.....

I'm intrigued by the idea of using SQlite without having to setup a database for it. I didn't realize that was even possible until a moment ago.

To be honest, I was going to use sqlite for v3.X from the start, but due to requirements I didnt. sqlite3 is now a standard bundled php module and to be honest is pretty much enabled by default so it makes sense.

It is quick, clean, writes to a single file (I split extensions into seperate files and keep the system db standalone), it allows you to attach db's (hence multiple files as i mentioned) and the big benefit is you can use PDO and sql syntax.

The one drawback is concurrency and race conditions/multiple writes, you have to handle it carefully, bundle your writes and use a single resource to get the best from it, so we have to work a bit differently.

Still at the end of the day it is the perfect partner for this type of thing.
