A plugin to display a notification to confirm with the EU?

Postby Adminer » Sat Mar 23, 2013 10:53 pm

Hi!
For member countries of the European Union, there are strict standards for the usage of cookies on a webiste. EU Directive 2009/136/EC, which requires users to consent before web sites harvest data from them, has caused many users to search for ways to comply with this regulation.
Sometimes, when someone is using razorCMS with another bladepacks - in UE must know and remember about it:
http://www.ico.gov.uk/news/latest_news/ ... 22011.aspx

In Poland it's restricted require from 22.03.2013 ;-(.

CMS admin must have a plugin to display a notification to confirm with the EU Cookie Directive.
Another examples 'how it works' in:
Wordpress: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/eu- ... directive/
Joomla: http://www.channeldigital.co.uk/develop ... odule.html
Joomla: http://blackdale.com/index.php/extensions/cookieboxl
Joomla: http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... ie-control
etc...

Is razorCMS "danger" without cookie_confirm bladepack for EU users? ;-)
Have you any idea about this?
If you are using Google Analytics or Google Adsense - you must have it! If you have a commercial page - 3% tax - if you ignore this.

You can check your service: http://webcookies.info

Examples, how it works:

In Poland:

Hiya,

I am well aware of this..... at present the system does not store cookies.... it uses session cookie which is actually not storing a cookie, not storing data and is valid only while session is active. So the admin end is not really an issue. Plus the admin end is not for general consumption to the public so again the site users are not affected.

Now you mention add ons that require cookie usage.... Yes if someone uses cookies for storing data then they need to make users (general public) aware that they are doing this....

Anyway, as of the next release, there will be a cookie message anyway, as the whole login process is reworked and allows for continuous login over 10 days with cookie. This stops the auto logout bug that we have had for a while and alows for admins to stay logged in. now I will be opening the login ability up to public too, to allow the system to give access to certain pages.. Basically we will be able to set pages with an access level, this then requires login to view them. So in this regard we will offer a cookie message as standard.

No need for add on, the system will auto handle this, as default we will warn everyone the site MAY save to a cookie at some point.

ta

Hi!

It'a a little fun polish solution for this ;-)
You can copy and paste into your theme - the code from : http://www.pierdolę.pl/
Code: Select all
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.pierdolę.pl/js/apprise-1.5.min.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://www.pierdolę.pl/css/apprise.min.css" type="text/css">
<script src="http://www.pierdolę.pl/js/pierdolecookie.js"></script>

It's in polish, but I was trying to translate this joke.
In order to be in compliance with EU law, the page will display a series of legally fixed and very important questions:
"Note, an important question!

Do you think that you should always and unconditionally comply with all laws no matter how stupid, annoying and harmful it is right, even if those who passed them they did it just because they are complete morons and do not know completely on what is right affected?
If so, then we have for you a very important information about the cookies!

Important!
This site uses cookies, TCP / IP, javascript and HTML. You can turn it all right side and what will stop working, but it will be safe. And in the European Union there is nothing more precious than safety. Even when it does not work.

Cookies operate in accordance with the policy of cookies, HTML, acting in accordance with policies HTML, TCP / IP operates in accordance with the policy of censorship and all work together under the policies of the European Union. The policy can read cookies on each page, which OWNER is as dumb as a right, which is subordinate and fear as well as all those who came up with this law.

We inform you about all this, because the European Union has forced the Polish government, and this has forced us, and now we are forcing you.
Do you want to show this information each time you enter the site?

A window will be closed.
If you want to make this box did not show any more, you must agree to install cookies on your computer. This is potentially very dangerous as anything but warn against the European Union and the Polish government.
Are you sure you want to install a cookie?

Fatal Cookie!
Do you know that in spite of everything you want to install a cookie, so that the important information about cookies do not see more?
This is not a joke!
I do not think you realize the seriousness of the problem. Remember, the European Union does not ask to warn against the threat of a computer virus, disk corruption during data recording, defamation of religions, the possibility of meeting a pedophile network or psychological injuries arising from their reading stupid comments. This means only one thing: that the cookies are much more dangerous than these!
Once you have let us save cookies to disk, they will be there for a year! Do you realize that?
The last time so I ask: if you want to save the cookie that this information does not appear more?

Last warning!
Listen, why do our problems? Do you know what the penalty for having warned you not sufficiently clear about what threatens cookies? Up to three percent of our income! It is true that no one has never been punished for it, but we do not want to be the first!
And you even know what is the income?

Okay, it does not matter.
What is important is that you have to be absolutely sure that you want to install cookies on your computer. Finally, MEPs and MEP Europarliament know what they're doing. Unlike you. You are on the internet as a child in the fog, you know that?!
I ask you now really the last time:
Is aware of (a) the threat that implies consent to install cookies on your end device, subscriber, you agree to this dangerous technology that we use cookies to close this box? "

Brilliant! :-)
